Tigers settle in at No. 4

NEW LONDON - The rankings in class 1A have been pretty top-heavy this season with favorites in the class staying atop the rankings throughout the year. New London, who sits at 15-0 with just a handful of games left, has been in the top five for quite a while now, but they just settled in to a solid No. 4 spot in the latest rankings.
After dropping back to No. 5 in the Associated Press poll, the Tigers jumped over Ankeny Christian Academy on Monday after knocking off Don Bosco in Cedar Rapids. The Tigers were already at No. 4 in The Gazette rankings and stayed in that spot.
Grand View Christian is No. 1 in both major Class 1A polls. In the AP poll, Montezuma comes in at No. 2, and George-Little Rock is at No. 3. In The Gazette poll, Ankeny Christian is at No. 2 and Montezuma is just ahead of the Tigers at No. 3.
