Tigers swept by Viterbo
The Iowa Wesleyan volleyball team took on Midwest Collegiate Conference opponent and no. 18-ranked Viterbo University last night, Sept. 13, and came out on the losing end of a three-game sweep.
The Tigers were at home for the match.
Megan McVey had eight kills on the night, aided by Alex Ramos with four, Beth Guzman with three and Marissa Bozik with one.

Megan McVey had eight kills on the night, aided by Alex Ramos with four, Beth Guzman with three and Marissa Bozik with one.
Ramos was the assist leader with 11. Alexi Holmes added two assists, and McVey added one.
McVey was also the dig leader, coming up with eight, Ramos and Holmes added four each, followed by Jaclyn Hannon with three and Chelsey Taylor with two. Bozik, Kara Dennell and Jenna Freesmeier added one dig each.
The Tigers are now 2-8 overall, 0-2 in the MCC. Viterbo moved up to a 13-2 record overall, and a 2-0 record in the conference.
The IWC women face Knox College, against whom they got their first win of the season, in their next competition.
The matchup will be on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Galesburg, Ill.
