Tigers trounce Warriors

KEOSAUQUA - Before the two teams met up in Saturday's New London tournament, the Tigers traveled to Van Buren County for a Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division showdown. New London won that match in three sets, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-10.
It was another big night for New London sophomore Keaura Williams, who led the team with 10 kills. Sofie Reighard, Natalie Burden and Marah Hartrick each finished the night with five. Paris Wilka had four.
Aliyah Christensen and Elly Manning combined for 25 New London assists. Christensen nipped Manning with 13 total, and Manning finished with 12. The Tiger defense was led by Kyra Linkin, who finished the match with 12 digs.
VBC was led again by Chelsey Huff, who tallied 14 kills on the night. Shea Scott added six.
The Warriors received another nice outing from Isabel Manning, who dished out 21 assists. Scott and Kadence Nusbaum coled the squad with 17 digs apiece.
