Trailblazers strike down Cobras

GILBERTVILLE - If it is one postseason contest versus another, the Dyersville Beckman Catholic wrestling team got some revenge for its football team with a 40-28 defeat Tuesday of Sigourney-Keota in a regional dual. The Cobras won a football playoff game 35-14 over the Trailblazers.

The Cobras wrestled 11 of the 14 possible weights and won five.

Beckman then lost to host Don Bosco, which will wrestle at the state duals.

The Cobras still have six possible state qualifiers - Daniel McLaughlin, Jack Clarahan, Cade Molyneux, Reid Molyneux, Aidan Schuster, Cade Streigle - with a first or second place finish Saturday at districts.
