Tricky weather for Trojans at Lake Rathbun

With conditions starting 'very Master's like” according to Trojan head coach Mick Flattery, sunny with no wind, and turning into something 'very British Open like” rainy, windy and cold, Fairfield's boys' golf team finished 15th at Lake Rathbun.
'On a links course, the latter weather we received is not good!” added Flattery.
Scores
Pella won the overall title with 318 while Fairfield was 15th with a score of 386.
Knoxville's Tyler Vaske was the tournament Medalist with a score of 70.
Jackson Weaton shot an 89(46,43) with a birdie and six pars. Josh Brewington shot a 98 (51-47) with four pars. Evan Haines had three pars during his round of 99 (46-53). Jeremy Crile also had a 99 with one par and Brad Smithburg shot 104 (55-49) with two pars.

Today at noon the Trojans will host the Fairfield Invite that is being moved up from Saturday morning and will include Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Centerville, Keokuk, Oskaloosa, Washington and Williamsburg.
