Washington High School graduate and state wrestling champion Tristin Westphal-Edwards arrived in Europe Sunday and is providing the Evening Journal with a first-person account of his days in Kosovo, where he is competing on the mat.
This is his report from Wednesday.

Today was filled with lots of wrestling! I walked into the building to a standing ovation and took over a million pictures of young children and a political man that insisted I take pictures.
It was the experience of a lifetime!
I have always wondered what it feels like to represent your country in such a high ranking way.
While wrestling all day, I put on a good show, getting the crowd involved. I came out on top to win the tournament.
Afterwards, we went to a huge dinner inviting all the wrestlers and coaches. It was great as always because the food is tremendous here.
Soon after I began to hand out shirts, shorts, even gave away U.S. coins!
Kids, coaches, and high political men came up to me for my autograph and we all celebrated!
We finally arrived back in Prishtina after the dinner and now we are hanging with our friends here.
