Trojan boys golf hosts Fairfield Invitational
Mt. Pleasant, Van Buren County join in the competition

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant and Van Buren County were all in action on Monday in the Fairfield Invitational.
Here’s how things shook down in Fairfield.
On the team side of things, seven squads competed in the tournament.
Leading the Union area was none other than the host Trojans, finishing with a score of 330. That was good enough for second in the invite.
Following just four strokes back was Mt. Pleasant with a 334.
Meanwhile, Van Buren County took sixth with a 352.
Albia were the tournament winners with a 319.
For Fairfield, Sam Weaton, Andrew Myers and Landon Nodurft all followed one another with an 81, 82 and 83.
Cason Miller finished with an 84. Archer Krueter had an 87 and Luke Thornton a 90.
Mt. Pleasant individual scores were not available.
Van Buren County was led by T.J. Jirak with an 80. Will Cocherell tallied an 87. Aidan McEntee had an 88. Ethan Pforts carded a 97. Aiden Cooper posted a 98 and Joseph Debner a 103.
