Trojan boys’ tennis falls at Davis County

The Fairfield boys' tennis team fell at Davis County 6-3 Monday night with two-thirds of their wins coming in doubles.

'Davis County proved to be too consistent for us,” said head coach Bill Sheppard.

Singles

No. 1

Davis County junior Luke Snyder defeated FHS senior AJ Greiner 8-6.

No. 2

Trojan junior Noel Peterson bested DC sophomore Carson Zeitler 8-3.

No. 3

Mustang sophomore Noah Zmolek won 8-5 over Fairfield senior Will Sheppard.

No. 4

Sophomore Clayton McFarland collected an 8-4 victory over Fairfield Class of 2021's Blake Holden.

No. 5

Kade Tharp, a senior for the Mustangs, topped Trojan senior Brian Parcell 8-3.

No. 6

FHS sophomore Michael Holt was edged by Ivan Garcia 8-5 in the final singles showdown.

Doubles

No. 1

Greiner and Sheppard combined for an 8-4 victory over Snyder/McFarland.

No. 2

Peterson and Holden were defeated 8-0 by Zmolek/Tharp.

No. 3

Parcell and Holt edged Zeitler/Garcia 8-6.
