Trojan boys’ tennis falls to Fort Madison

The Trojan boys' tennis team lost 7-2 Tuesday to Fort Madison, leaving their record 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Southeast Conference.

Singles

No. 1 senior A.J. Greiner lost 0-6, 0-6 to senior Sam Avery

No. 2 junior Noel Peterson fell 4-6, 1-6 to sophomore Jason Thurman

No. 3 senior Will Sheppard dropped both sets to sophomore Vason Thurman 2-6, 3-6

No. 4 sophomore Blake Holden was edged 4-6, 3-6 by junior Reed Fehseke

No. 5 senior Brian Parcel defeated sophomore Bryce Workman 6-2, 7-5

No. 6 sophomore Michael Holt dominated sophomore Levi Sissel 6-2, 6-0

Doubles

No. 1 Greiner and Sheppard dropped their two set against the Thurman twins

No. 2 Peterson and Holden lost 3-6, 3-6 to Avery/Fehseke

No. 3 junior Dylan Barras and senior Sam Mattson jumped from the No. 7/8 singles spots to push Workman/Sissel to the brink in their 3-6, 4-6 loss.
