Trojan cross country camp opens July 30

Fairfield varsity cross country coach Jerrod Belzer and current and past runners will be leading a Trojan cross country camp July 30-Aug. 3 at Fairfield High School.

A session, for students entering grades five through seven, will be held from 9-10 a.m. each morning. Students entering grades eight through 12 will meet directly after, from 10:15-11:30 a.m.

The cross country camp will focus on proper stretching techniques, warming up and cooling down, proper nutrition and hydration as well as training.

Cost is $20 per student and includes a camp T-shirt.

Preregistration is preferred, but participants may join on the first day of camp. Registration may be done online at www.fairfieldparksandrec.com, by calling the park and rec office at 472-6159, or by mail: 1000 W. Burlington Ave., Fairfield.
