Trojan freshmen split games with Mustangs

Madison Roberts and Mackenzie McClure combined for 32 points Tuesday, and the Fairfield freshmen girls topped Davis County 39-28 in Fairfield.

Roberts scored 17 points along with 14 boards to record a double-double, and McClure had 15 points and five rebounds. Harley Cook had four points and three rebounds, Karley Williams tallied two points and six boards, and Addison Thornton finished the game with six rebounds.

The ninth-graders will travel to Williamsburg Monday for their final game of the year.

Boys fall

BLOOMFIELD ? The freshmen boys fell to Davis County 63-34 Tuesday in Bloomfield.

Cody Craff led the Trojans with 10 points followed by Alex Simpson with nine points and seven boards. Tanner Deao had four points, five assists and three steals; Cody White scored four points; and Narendra Martin recorded three points and six rebounds. Nick Jackson and James Kyle scored two points apiece.

The freshmen, now carrying a 1-5 record, will host Oskaloosa Monday before a two-week hiatus.
