Trojan frosh split at home triangular
In a home triangular Monday night, the Fairfield freshman volleyball team split two matches against visitors Pella and Mediapolis.
The two teams are part of strong varsity programs that are currently ranked with Pella rated No. 4 in Class 3A and Mediapolis coming in at No. 10 in Class 2A.

In a home triangular Monday night, the Fairfield freshman volleyball team split two matches against visitors Pella and Mediapolis.
The two teams are part of strong varsity programs that are currently ranked with Pella rated No. 4 in Class 3A and Mediapolis coming in at No. 10 in Class 2A.
After falling in game one against Pella, the Trojans rallied for two victories to take the match 14-25, 25-18, 15-13. Fairfield lost to Mediapolis 26-24, 25-12 in the nightcap.
Katie Anderson led the way for Fairfield with 10 kills on the night while Kristen Terrell and Ashley Manning each tallied four. Erin Thompson led in digs with 17 while Sydney Howard had two service aces and 10 assists ? both team highs. Courtney Laux had nine assists, and her and Manning each had 13 digs.
The freshman team will be back in action for tonight?s SEC match vs. Washington.
