Trojan girls golf finishes on top
Fairfield bests seven others to win in Centerville

The Fairfield girls golf team had a wonderful day on the course in the Redette Invite at the Appanoose Country Club in Centerville on Tuesday afternoon.
By the end of the competition, the Trojans had tallied a score of 405, good enough for a first place finish. It’s Fairfield’s first win of the season.
For the Trojans, Viola Welsh was the highest finisher after 18 holes. Welsh ended the contest with a 92, landing her with the second best score in the meet.
Macy Rayburn was a fourth place finisher, posting a 97. Maggie Rayburn and Myah Twohill both ended with 108, tied for eighth. Kate Pettit golfed a 110 for thirteenth.
