Trojan girls place 2nd at home track meet

FAIRFIELD — Four girls track teams weathered the storm on Tuesday night as Fairfield welcomed in Oskaloosa, Fort Madison and Burlington for a home meet. The Trojans scored 79 points, finishing in second place.
Fairfield had six wins on the day, all on the track. The Trojans won two individual events and four relays.
Carley Seeley dominated the 3000-meter run to give Fairfield its first invididual win. She crossed the tape in 12 minutes, 34.09 seconds. Anna Dunlap cruised to victory in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing in 16.64 seconds.
Fairfield’s 4X100 relay team of Danielle Breen, Kelsey Pacha, Kiya Robertson and Dunlap took first place, crossing in 52.54 seconds. The shuttle hurdle relay team of Maya Lane, Lilly Bergren, Hayley Reinier and Sarah McAvan won in 1:15.63.
The Trojans took both the sprint medley and distance medley. The sprint medley team of Robertson, Bergren, Dunlap and Mallory Lyon won in 1:56.55, and the distance medley team of Robertson, Breen, Addison Ferrel and Maddie Jones won in 4:46.50.
