Trojan seventh-grade boys open basketball season
WASHINGTON ? The Fairfield seventh-grade boys? basketball team opened its season Oct. 31 in Washington.
The Fairfield ?A? team lost to the Demons 47-20. Josh Osby put up 16 points and secured eight rebounds. Brian Buch and Alex Conrad chipped in two points each. Denver Schultz led the Trojans with four assists.
The ?B? team also lost 34-14. Cam Burke led his team offensively with eight points.

In the ?C? game, Fairfield won 21-18 thanks to nine points from Nathan Else and another six from Clayton Benedict.
Seventh-graders play Ottumwa
For the seventh-graders? second set of games Tuesday, the ?A? team led off with a 50-22 loss to Ottumwa. Cam Baumann had eight points and four steals, and Josh Osby scored seven points while leading on the boards with four. Eric Swan, Kyle Roberts and Alex Conrad added two points apiece. Denver Schultz again supplied a hefty dose of assists, tallying five.
Austin Winslow led the ?B? team in scoring with three points, though Fairfield also lost its second game 39-7.
The ?C? team won its second game in as many tries with a close 17-16 win. Dylon Abbott and Dakota Pisano each scored four points.
