Trojan tennis splits with Keokuk
Unbeaten Fairfield boys keep rolling through SEC play

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield tennis teams split a Southeast Conference doubleheader with Keokuk on Monday. The unbeaten Trojan boys rolled 9-0, while the girls fell 5-4.
It was business as usual for the Trojan boys. Fairfield swept through the singles matches, not losing a single set. The win wrapped up an unbeaten regular season for the Trojans in Southeast Conference play.
Austin Loria had a successful day as the No. 1 singles player for the Trojans. Loria rolled through the No. 1 match 6-0 and 6-0. Han Wang had a similar experience at No. 2, winning 6-0 and 6-0 as well.
Ethan Cass won the No. 3 singles match 6-4 and 6-2. Rylan Andreson rolled 6-3 and 6-3 at No. 4. Niko Emerson won 6-1 and 6-3 at No. 5, and No. 6 Rocky Galusha won 6-2 and 6-4.
In doubles, Loria and Wang won 6-1 and 6-1 in the No. 1 match. Cass and Anderson picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2, and Emerson and Galusha finished the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3.
On the girls’ side, the Trojan s had three singles wins. Sriya Yammanur won 9-7 in a thrilling No. 3 match. Una Carter rolled 8-1 at No. 4, and Faith Jones coasted 8-2 at No. 5.
The only other win for the Trojan girls came at No. 3 doubles, as Mareyn Dunkin and Jones won 8-0 in the No. 3 match.
