Trojan tennis thrashes Chiefs
Fairfield boys sweep, girls give up one set to Keokuk

Fairfield tennis’ Thursday night Southeast Conference matchup with Keokuk turned out to be a dominant showing.
It was a near sweep for the Trojans as the boys downed the Chiefs 9-0, while the girls were winners 8-1.
The boys were near flawless on the singles side of things.
Six games is all the Trojans gave up through all six matchups.
Ruimin Luo defeated Tyce Hoppe 6-0, 6-1. Han Wang was a winner 6-0, 6-4 over Jaxton McNally. Bowen Zhang beat Evan Carr 6-0, 6-0.
Ehan Cass topped Kole Keppel 6-0, 6-1. Rylan Anderson walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Caleb Mondon and Niko Emerson downed Zach Atterberg 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Wang and Cass were winners 10-3. Luo and Zhang won 10-1. Anderson and Emerson notched a 10-0 victory.
The Fairfield boys move to 3-0 on the season.
Meanwhile, the girls dropped just one match.
Poojita Mukadam defeated Nevaeh Logan 6-3, 6-2. Sriya Yammanur was a winner over Gracie Thompson 6-1, 6-1.
Emma Wendland secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Elizabeth Stambaugh. Mareyn Dunkin finished with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Baylee Picton. Faith Jones close out with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Paityn James.
The Trojan’s lone loss came in the two seeded match. Natalie Steele fell to the Chiefs’ Sophia Rule in three sets, 6-3, 1-6 and 10-7.
In double it was all Trojans. Mukadam and Steele were 8-5 winners. Yammanur and Wendland as well as Dunkin an Jones were victorious 8-0.
With the victory, its five straight wins for the Trojans as they move to 5-0.
