Trojan wrestlers receive postseason awards

FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield wrestling team received its postseason awards last week at the Trojans' end-of-year banquet.
The 2020-21 Most Valuable Wrestler award was given to district tournament qualifier Cohyn Roach. Roach was one of three Trojans to make the step before state in the 2021 postseason.
Two matmen were awarded the Darwin Potter Determination and Dedication Award. Logan adam and Payton Cline each received that honor.
Brecken Courtright and Arya Patel were honored with the Jordan Smith Perseverance Award. The Billy Stoner Rookie of the Year award when to Ben Sirdoreus, and the Most Improved Wrestler award was given to Carter Moore.
