Trojans bowl in Ottumwa triangular

OTTUMWA - The Fairifeld bowling teams made their return to Champion Bowl in Ottumwa on Tuesday to take on the hosting Bulldogs as well as Oskaloosa. The Trojan girls finished second of three teams with a total of 2,189, being defeated by Ottumwa (2,791) but out-dueling Oskaloosa (2,074). The boys rolled a 2,383 for third place. Ottumwa won the boys meet with a 3,106, and Oskaloosa was second, at 2,680.
The Trojan girls were led by Karen Ehret, who finished the day at 330. She rolled a 157 in her first game and a 173 her second. Airianna Taylor and McKayla Taylor tied for second on the Fairfield team, with each finishing out at 303.
Bailey HIrd notched a 278 to become the fourth Fairfield scorer. Hope Brammer rolled a 273, and Willow Elliot finished at 241.
The Trojan girls scored 702 in their baker games. Baker games went 169, 135, 126, 135 and 137.
Drake Drish led the Fairfield boys. Drish finished his round at 336, rolling 170 in the first game and 166 in the second. Chance Swan was close behind Drish, with a 330, to give the Fairfield boys two scorers over 300.
Wyatt Baker slid just under the 300 mark with a 299 for the day. Gannon Scott rolled a 290. Chris Kyle finished his day at 281, and Kane Hook rounded out the Trojan boys with a 208.
The Trojan baker games scored 847 for the day. Baker games went 152, 248, 267, 222 and 158.
The Fairfield bowling teams won't roll again until early January. The Trojans' next scheduled meet is for January 5 at Keokuk.
