WILLIAMSBURG — Fairfield volleyball had a busy weekend as the Trojans headed up to Williamsburg for the Raiders annual volleyball tournament.

Fairfield played the likes of No. 13 (Class 2A) West Burlington, No. 14 (Class 3A) West Liberty, Central Lee, Columbus and Centerville.
In the Trojans wins, they never lost a set. The same was true of their opposition in the matches they lost.
Fairfield picked up wins over Centerville, Columbus and Central Lee in the tournament.
The Trojans defeated Central Lee 21-15 and 21-17 in two sets.
Against Columbus it was a 21-14, 21-15 victory in two frames.
In a matchup with the Big Reds, the Trojans walked away victorious 21-12 and 21-8.
The games where the Trojans weren’t so lucky was against West Burlington and West Liberty.
After a 21-16 loss to West Burlington in the opening set, the No. 13 Falcons topped the Trojans in a tight 24-22 second set.
Against the Comets, the Trojans struggled.
West Liberty grabbed a pair of victories 21-11 and 21-9.
Following the completion of the tournament, the Trojans’ record now stands at 6-6.
