Trojans finish two, Demons three in girls track
Fairfield finishes with five winners, Washington one

It was an eventful night for the Fairfield and Washington girls track teams on Thursday, as both took part in the Eddyville-Blakesburg Rocket Relays.
Fairfield and Washington put together another strong showing on the track, with the Trojans grabbing a second-place finish and the Demons following in third out of the eight team lineup.
The Trojans ended their evening with 104 total points for the runner-up spot, while the Demons tallied 97 for third. North Polk, 187 points, was the only team to best the two Southeast Conference participants.
Fairfield picked up a total of five wins in the competition, along with one second place finish.
Kelsey Pacha was the lone two-time winner for the Trojans on the day. Pacha picked up wins in the 100-meter hurdles and long jump. She finished with a time of 16.02 on the hurdles and a leap of 16-03.75 in long jump.
The Trojan’s Anna Dunlap was a top finisher in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 13.26. Danielle Breen followed teammate Pacha with a second-place finish in the long jump finals.
In the relays, Fairfield also saw some success. The Trojans secured wins in the 4x100-meter, 52.73, and the 400-meter shuttle hurdle relay, 1:14.69.
Washington on the day, tallied one first-place finish and five second-place finishes.
The Demon’s Quincy Griffis, was a top finisher. Griffis dominated the 3000-meter field with a time of 12:14.39.
Washington’s Grace Voss was a second-place finalist in the 800-meter run, running a 2:41.83. Voss also finished second in high jump with a 4-10.00.
In shot put, Ally Rees earned a second-place finish with a throw of 30-08.75.
The Demon’s were also runners-up in the 4x200 with a time of 2:01.59. They were also second-place finishers in the 4x800 with a time of 11:16.6.
