Trojans roll past Grayhounds
Fairfield stays undefeated in conference play with win over Burlington

BURLINGTON — Fairfield continued its dominance in Southeast Conference play with 51-18 win over Burlington on Friday night.
The Trojan girls played astounding defense, limiting the Grayhounds to single digit points in all four quarters.
Fairfield jumped out early, winning the first quarter battle scoring 13 points and holding Burlington to just one.
The Grayhounds would score their most points in the second, seven. Fairfield saw its best scoring quarter as well, 15.
At the half, the Trojans held a commanding 28-8 lead.
In the second half, Fairfield didn’t slow down. The Trojans would outscore the Grayhounds 23-10 over the course of the second half, 13-6 in the third and 10-4 in the fourth.
Danielle and Delaney Breen led the Trojans in scoring once again. Danielle finished with 12 points. Delaney ended with 11 points and five assists. Ashlyn Lisk chipped in nine points.
Kelsey Pacha added eight points, while grabbing 11 rebounds. Brynley Allison scored four. Savannah Hollander had three. Anna Dunlap and Mallory Lyon both ended with two.
Fairfield moves to 4-2 (3-0) on the season. Next up, the Trojans will host a conference bout against Keokuk on Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
