Trojans tie for 6th, Mt. Pleasant 9th in Moravia boys golf meet

MORAVIA — Both the Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant golf teams were in action Thursday as the Trojans and Panthers traveled to Oskaloosa for a 16-team meet.
Fairfield tied with Clarke for sixth overall, shooting 356. Mt. Pleasant was 12 strokes behind the Trojans, with a 368.
Max Weaton shot an 82 to lead the Trojans. Jeremy Crile ended the day at 86. Evan Haines shot 92. Nate Smithburg shot 96, and Sam Weaton finished at 101.
Brevin Wilson shot a 79 to lead Mt. Pleasant. Nick Matheny was close behind him with an 83. Ian Hake shot 98. Reece Coffman shot 109, and Nate Dismang ended at 110.
All teams at the meet played with just five players, as opposed to the usual six.
