Trojans to battle Falcons
Fairfield will look for its third win in a row with a victory over West Burlington

FAIRFIELD — After a couple tough losses, which very well could have been wins, Fairfield has hunkered down the last two weeks winning back-to-back games over Knoxville and Keokuk by just one point.
This week, Fairfield (3-2) will look to add another notch in the win column with a victory over West Burlington (1-4).
Fairfield comes into this week off a victory against Keokuk that needed overtime. The Trojans were able to edge the Chiefs in the extra quarter, 16-15.
Tate Allen leads Fairfield in both the passing and ground game. Allen has completed 47 of 83 passes on the season, accumulating 777 yards and 10 touchdowns.
On the ground, Allen has 296 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Starting back, Hunter Cecchini, is out for the season with an injury. He had 180 yards before the injury in week two. Miles McEntee has stepped into the lead back roll. McEntee has 42 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown.
On the receiving end of things, Max Weaton paces the Trojans. Weaton has racked up 27 receptions for 390 yards and seven touchdowns. Tallon Bates follows with 122 yards on seven receptions and a touchdown.
On the defensive end, Sam Weaton and Lucas Konczal each have 11 tackles a piece.
West Burlington comes into Friday night’s contest off a loss to Solon, 36-0.
The Falcons started the season 0-3 before picking up their first win of the season over Mt. Pleasant.
Caden Schwenker has 533 passing yards and five touchdowns for the Falcons.
On the ground, Travain Donaldson leads the way with 523 yards and three touchdowns. Schwenker has rushed for 223 and two touchdowns as well.
Donaldson also leads in the receiving column, tallying 128 yards and one touchdown on 15 receptions.
Defensively, Hayden Vandenberg has 36 total tackles to lead the Falcons.
Friday nights game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
