Scoring woes plague Fairfield against Fort Madison

FORT MADISON — Fairfield struggled to put the ball in the basketball on Friday night against Fort Madison.
The Trojans were held to single digits in all four quarters on the night as they were defeated 60-21 by the Bloodhounds.
After one quarter, the Trojans trailed the Bloodhounds 14-4.
In the second, Fairfield scored four more, while Fort Madison dropped in 18 to push its lead to 32-8 at the half.
In the third, both teams put together their best scoring quarter of the evening.
Fort Madison would take the quarter 20-7. Heading into the final quarter of action, the Bloodhounds led 52-15.
In the fourth, Fort Madison outscored Fairfield 8-6 to seal it.
With the loss, Fairfield drops to 2-13 on the season and 2-7 in conference play.
