Fairfield wins its second of a back-to-back with a win at Knoxville

KNOXVILLE — The Fairfield girls basketball team has been clicking as of late. The Trojans grabbed their second win in two days on the road at Knoxville.
Knoxville led following the first quarter, but Fairfield put together a strong outing in the final three quarters to down the Panthers 53-37.
It took the Trojans a few minutes to get going against Knoxville.
Knoxville held a 11-10 lead following the first quarter, but Fairfield answered back.
The Trojans put together a 16-7 second to take the lead, 26-18, at the break. Fairfield never trailed again.
Fairfield outscored Knoxville 27-19 in the second half to pick up the second of two wins on the road.
The Trojans will be back on the road again Friday, as they take on Mt. Pleasant in a Southeast Conference matchup.
