Trojan’s win trio at Williamsburg Tournament

Fairfield volleyball was in action over the weekend as the Trojans headed up to Williamsburg on Saturday for the Williamsburg Varsity Volleyball Tournament.

It was an up and down day for the Trojans, that culminated into a 3-2 record.

Des Moines Lincoln, Centerville, Beckman Catholic, Columbus, West Burlington, West Liberty and Williamsburg all competed as well.

The Trojans picked up the three wins against Des Moines Lincoln and Centerville twice. Fairfield defeated Lincoln 2-1, 18-21, 21-9 and 15-6.

Against the Big Reds, the Trojans were 2-0 winners in each, 21-14, 21-13 and then 21-13 and 21-14.

On the contrary, the Trojans fell to West Liberty 2-0, 21-14 and 21-7, along with Beckman Catholic 2-0, 21-11 and 21-14.

Fairfield’s next match will be against Washington on Tuesday at home.
