Despite four players scoring in double figures, the Keota boys? basketball team couldn?t hang onto the lead on Tuesday night.

The Eagles took on Belle Plaine at home, and led 34-29 at the halftime break, but were outscored the rest of the way, and fell in a tight 77-73 contest.

The loss marks the third in four games for the Eagles, as they fell to 10-5 on the season.

Avery Conrad and Jacob Wickenkamp each notched double-doubles in the game, with Conrad having a 20-point, 13-rebound night and Wickenkamp posting 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Zach Mousel notched 16 points in the loss, while Isaiah Hahn scored 13 points in the contest.

The Eagles will look to rebound at homecoming against Tri-County, as they look to regain some positive momentum before the end of the season.

WACO stumbles to L-M

A slow offensive night doomed the WACO boys? basketball team on Tuesday night, with the Warriors only managing one double-digit scoring quarter.

Louisa-Muscatine took advantage of the shooting struggles, and claimed the 43-25 victory.

Jackson Roth led the team with seven points in the loss, along with tying with Gabe Black for a team-high six rebounds.

Colton Horak and Duncan Pickard each picked up six points for the Warriors.

WACO shot 8-of-42 (19 percent) on the night from the field.

The loss moves WACO to 2-12 on the year and marks their ninth straight loss.

The Warriors will move on to take on Lone Tree, who resides at the top of the conference.
