Two touchdowns not enough for New London football
DANVILLE ? The New London football team scored once on offense and once on defense, but it wasn?t enough to overcome Danville in Friday night?s game. The Tigers dropped the Week 6 contest, 21-12, falling to 0-6 on the season.
Matayo Christianer had a 19-yard rushing touchdown for the Tigers, one of 25 carries on the night for a total of 131 yards on the ground.

DANVILLE ? The New London football team scored once on offense and once on defense, but it wasn?t enough to overcome Danville in Friday night?s game. The Tigers dropped the Week 6 contest, 21-12, falling to 0-6 on the season.
Matayo Christianer had a 19-yard rushing touchdown for the Tigers, one of 25 carries on the night for a total of 131 yards on the ground.
Jayden Flowers had 10 carries for 35 yards and Tristan Kadel had five carries for 26 yards.
Flowers scored the other New London touchdown in the game, on a 60-yard interception return.
At quarterback, Flowers was 2-for-9 for 30 yards passing. Christianer and Hunter Moeller had one catch each for five and 25 yards, respectively.
Defensively, Tanner Gipple had a team-high 16 tackles, including seven solo tackles. Christianer had 15 tackles, and four were unassisted. Quincy Porter brought down 12 on the night, six solo.
Along with Flowers, Kadel and Austin McBeth each had an interception. Christianer had a fumble recovery.
The Tigers will host Class A No. 9 Lisbon (5-1) on Friday.
