U14 all-stars headed to state
The Fairfield Babe Ruth 14-and-under all-star team advanced to the state tournament with district victories over Davis County and Mount Pleasant over the weekend.
Fairfield opened with a wild 19-16 victory over Davis County Saturday night.
Dyllan Light pitched all seven innings and struck out 11 to earn the win on the mound.
The all-stars then turned around and won a 17-8 game over Mount Pleasant Sunday. ...

The Fairfield Babe Ruth 14-and-under all-star team advanced to the state tournament with district victories over Davis County and Mount Pleasant over the weekend.
Fairfield opened with a wild 19-16 victory over Davis County Saturday night.
Dyllan Light pitched all seven innings and struck out 11 to earn the win on the mound.
The all-stars then turned around and won a 17-8 game over Mount Pleasant Sunday. Alex Simpson struck out five over the final five innings to seal the win.
Cody Craff and Cole Reighard led Fairfield at the plate as both went 7-11 with six RBI and four runs scored in the two games.
The state tournament will be Friday through Sunday in Bloomfield.
