Union area volleyball opponents to look out for

Among area opponents’ players, the best all-around returning letter winner by number of categories she is in her conference’s Top 10 is a Crusader.
⋆ Kassi Randolph, senior, Holy Trinity — Block total of 47 was ninth in SEISC South, dig total of 236 was 13th, assist total of 380 was seventh, 210 kills was ninth as were her 583 attacks with a .266 efficiency (11th), fourth in ace serves, second in both serve attempts and success, fourth in serve efficiency at 97.6 percent.
⋆ Kennedy Welliver, junior, Mediapolis — Her 382 assists were tops in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division
⋆ Ella Caffrey, senior, Wilton — Put up 8.9 assists per set and 810 total for the top spot in the River Valley Conference South, fourth in ace serves with 50, second in block assists with 41, third in blocks, 11th in digs with 183, 128 kills was 11th, .322 kill efficiency was seventh.
⋆ Macy Daufeldt, senior, West Liberty — Averaged 4.80 kills and 3.17 digs per set, posted a .396 kill efficiency as a Gazette all-area and Class 3A 1st-team all-state.
⋆ Gabby Deery, junior, Notre Dame — A kill efficiency of .295 was fourth in the SEISC South, 4.1 kills per set was second, 285 kills was fifth, second with 54 block assists, average of 1.2 blocks was third and 83 total was second.
⋆ Alyssa Tegler, senior, Belle Plaine — First in South Iowa Cedar League with 347 kills, first with .410 kill efficiency, third in attacks at 683, second in blocks at 73 but first in block assists at 54, third in ace serves with 48.
