Updated NCAA men’s tournament bracket

The 2024 NCAA men’s basketball tournament is down to the final 16 teams after a busy full weekend of basketball from around the country.

All four number one seeds advanced pas the first weekend of play, as did all four number two seeds.

The ‘Sweet 16’ will begin on Thursday. The Iowa State men will be a part of Thursday’s action, as the two-seeded Cyclones take on No. 3 seed Illinois at 9:09 p.m.

In the Southeast Iowa Union’s NCAA men’s tournament challenge, local sports writer Hunter Moeller currently leads with 500 points. Mt. Pleasant Community High School principal Mike Wilson is in second, with 490.

In Thursday’s edition of the Union, the current standings for the women’s tournament challenge will be released.
