The Van Buren boys? basketball team was sick of playing from behind, so Tuesday they decided to do something about it.
Following two straight losses to open the season, the Warriors (1-2, 1-2 SEISC south) jumped out to an 18-13 first-quarter lead against Holy Trinity before burying the Crusaders in the second quarter. The Warriors went on to win 78-47.

Following two straight losses to open the season, the Warriors (1-2, 1-2 SEISC south) jumped out to an 18-13 first-quarter lead against Holy Trinity before burying the Crusaders in the second quarter. The Warriors went on to win 78-47.
Up 44-22 at halftime, Van Buren cruised the rest of the way, outscoring Holy Trinity 34-25.
Colin Weaver scored 24 points to lead the Warriors. Dalton Stine netted 16 points, and both Elliott Remick and Blake Scott chipped in 15. Zach Boyd finished the night with eight points.
The Warriors take a trip to Central Lee Friday.
