Van Buren County game canceled
Warriors still battling COVID-19 related issues

PELLA — The Van Buren County football team went into Friday with a 2-1 record, but the Warriors are now 2-2 after forfeiting a game to No. 7 Pella Christian due to COVID-19 issues.
The Van Buren County School District currently has a 14-day positivity average of 15.7 percent.
VBC played three games before Friday’s cancellation. A volleyball game earlier that week also was postponed.
The Warriors are scheduled to play at Cardinal on Friday. That will be the Comets’ homecoming game.
