Van Buren County in 2A softball rankings at 13, Trojans fall in 4A

Van Buren County was ranked 13th in Class 2A Thursday when the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released the weekly softball rankings.

It was the first time this season for Van Buren County and came after a week winning eight of nine games including wins over 4A No. 9 Clear Creek-Amana and No. 10 Fairfield. The loss was to 2A No. 3 Louisa-Muscatine.

Winfield-Mount-Union stayed at 15 in 1A.
