Van Buren County ready for new year
The Van Buren County football team went 3-5 in 2022. Among those three wins was a thrilling Homecoming win over rival Cardinal. The Warriors lose a ton of talent from last fall.
The best non-senior for the Warrior football team last season was junior-to-be Izaak Loeffler, who ran for 255 yards last season. Senior Lucas Fett returns after a team-leading 33 tackles.
The Warrior volleyball team went 11-17 last season. Senior Ivy Davidson returns after collecting 200 kills last season. Junior Tessa Sayer led the team last year with 231 digs.
In cross-country, VBC took 10th in the SEISC last year. State qualifier Lincoln Bainbridge took ninth in the conference in just his freshman year.
