Van Buren County stifled by Pleasantville
Warriors lose 4th-straight game on the gridiron

KEOSAUQUA — Pleasantville’s offense ran for 323 yards and five touchdowns in a Class 1A District 6 win over Van Buren County on Friday night. The Trojans handed the Warriors their fourth-straight defeat, knocking them off 45-8.
Van Buren County had a rough first half. The Warriors trailed 14-0 after one quarter and 38-0 at halftime. Pleasantville scored once more in the third.
Van Buren County’s lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter. Wyatt Mertens scored on a 13-yard run.
The Warriors are now 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the district. They’ll have an uphill battle at unbeaten and fifth-ranked Sigourney-Keota this week.
