Van Buren downed at Davis County to finish 2010
BLOOMFIELD ? Davis County ended Van Buren?s run through the Class 2A regional volleyball tournament with a 25-18, 19-25, 25-14, 25-17 victory Tuesday night.
Rylee Eakins had 11 kills and Kaylee Scholten dished out 34 assists for the Mustangs who advance to play ninth-ranked Pella Christian in the regional semifinal. The Eagles moved on with a 25-10, 25-15, 25-14 win over Eddyville-Blakesburg Tuesday.

The Warriors tied the match 1-1 with a bounce-back game two, but Davis County picked up a 6-0 advantage in kills in game three to wrench control of the match.
Hannah Haynes led Van Buren with five blocks, two service aces and 13 digs, Jessica Saunders had five kills and three aces and Makenzie Zeitler chipped in 17 digs for the match. Jordan Billups led in assists with 11.
