Van Buren falls at home

KEOSAUQUA - The Van Buren football season came to an end on Friday night when the Warriors lost their final game of the year against Wilton. Van Buren's offense was held to single-digits for the second week in a row in a 42-8 loss.
The Warriors' offense was led by the running game. Five different players carried the ball, and Conner Helling led the way with 48 yards and a touchdown.
Corey Bunnell finished with 39 yards on the ground. Cohyn Jury had 30 yards. Lane Davis went for 22, and Tony Davidson had six.
Davis was 1-13 passing the ball witih no touchdowns and no interceptions. His one completion was a 16-yard pass to Davidson.
Van Buren's defense was co-led by Bunnell and Helling. Each had six tackles.
The Warriors finished the season 1-8 overall and 1-4 in district play.
