Van Buren falls at Mediapolis

MEDIAPOLIS - The Van Buren football team couldn't get their offense off the ground against district co-leader Mediapolis on Friday night. The Warriors fell 48-6 in their final road game fo the season.
It was the Bulldog running game that caused problems for the Warrior defense. Van Buren held Mediapolis to just 59 yards passing, but the Bulldogs went over 300 yards rushing.
Mediapolis led 13-0 after the first quarter, 34-0 at halftime and 41-0 after three. Van Buren's only six points came in the fourth period.
Van Buren is now 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the district. They'll host Wilton in their final game this week.
