FARMINGTON ? Van Buren junior Hanna Haynes made sure every shot counted Saturday, going 9-for-9 from the field to help lead the Warriors to a 72-38 victory over Harmony.
Haynes also hit two free shows to score 20 points, and she grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots. Makenzie Zeitler posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, as well as six assists and seven steals, and Jessica Saunders had a team-high 21 points along with six assists and five steals.
With the win, the Van Buren girls have won four straight dating back to a Dec. 16 four-point loss to Fairfield.
Also scoring for Van Buren were Payten Hughes with 10 points, Jordan Billups with four and Abbey Rider with one point. The Warriors hit more than 51 percent from the field.
Van Buren (10-1, 9-0 SEISC south) returns home to face Burlington-Notre Dame tonight.
