NEW LONDON ? The Van Buren golf teams competed at a triangular in New London Monday.
The Warrior boys scored a 197 to finish eight strokes below Danville (205) but well short of host New London (175). Meanwhile, the girls? squad finished with a 236 score, well ahead of Danville?s 288 but behind the host team?s 199.

The Warrior boys scored a 197 to finish eight strokes below Danville (205) but well short of host New London (175). Meanwhile, the girls? squad finished with a 236 score, well ahead of Danville?s 288 but behind the host team?s 199.
For the Warrior boys, Brandon Plecker led the way with a 46 and Mitch Garrels was right behind scoring a 49. Both Colton Gates and Noah Whitten finished at 51 to complete the team?s total.
Payten Hughes and Lydia Heald each carded a 52 to lead the girls. Bethany Wood shot a 63 and Meredith Miller rounded out the score with a 69.
The Van Buren squads host Central Lee on Thursday.
