Van Buren rallies past Danville
DANVILLE ? Makenzie Zeitler hit a pair of home runs and two doubles as the Van Buren softball team rallied for a 13-11 win in eight innings Tuesday.
Zeitler hit a two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning to send the game into extras, and the senior kicked off the game-clinching eighth inning scoring the first of four runs.
Zeitler went 4 for 5 with four RBI and four runs scored in the game.

Twice the Warriors were down by five runs before Van Buren and Zeitler answered back. Van Buren trailed 6-1 after two innings and 9-4 after three.
Jordan Billups hit a key double in the eighth inning, and she scored two runs with two RBI. Hanna Haynes stole four bases.
Alicia Fitzsimmons pitched a gem over the final 5 1/3 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out two. Haynes and Jessica Saunders started the game for Van Buren.
The Warriors are set to play at Central Lee tonight.
