Van Buren wins home invitational
KEOSAUQUA ? The Van Buren track team was the winner of six different events at the Van Buren Invite Thursday evening and cruised to the team title on its home track.
Ryne Smith was responsible for three of those wins and Spencer Watson claimed two more to lead the Warriors.
Smith easily won the high jump (5? 10?) as well as the 110-high (16.56) and 400-low hurdle (1:02.77) events.

Smith easily won the high jump (5? 10?) as well as the 110-high (16.56) and 400-low hurdle (1:02.77) events.
Watson picked up gold in the two short sprints finishing in 11.84 in the 100 and 23.98 in the 200.
Van Buren?s 128 points was the top score among eight teams followed by New London with 112 and Moravia with 78.
