Van Buren?s season comes to end in Danville
DANVILLE ? Injuries hampered the Van Buren volleyball team?s plan of making a run in the regional tournament, and the Warriors? season came to a close with a 14-25, 14-25, 23-25 loss to Danville.

DANVILLE ? Injuries hampered the Van Buren volleyball team?s plan of making a run in the regional tournament, and the Warriors? season came to a close with a 14-25, 14-25, 23-25 loss to Danville.
Payten Hughes sat out the match with a pulled muscle, and Patricia Townsend and Lydia Heald were held out of the lineup for most of the match.
The lone senior on the team, Makenzie Zeitler, finished her high school volleyball career going 9-of-9 from the service line with one ace, as well as two kills and five digs.
Jordan Billups was a perfect 11-of-11 serving with two aces, one kill and seven digs; Hanna Haynes went 7-of-7 on serves with one ace, as well as four kills, five blocks and six digs; Sarah Wells had three assists and two digs; Meredith Miller had one kill and seven digs; Heald had five digs; and Townsend added one dig.
Van Buren finishes the season with a 7-19 record overall and 3-6 record in the Southeast Iowa Superconference.
