KEOKUK — Three Union area teams landed in the Top-6 at the Keokuk girls wrestling tournament on Saturday.
Van Buren County finished second with a whopping 150.5 points in a tournament that included schools from around the tri-state area. Fairfield took fifth, with 97, and Mt. Pleasant took sixth, at 93.
The Warriors wound up with four champions on the day to lead all teams at the meet.
Armony Adams took first place at 100 pounds. Brystol Wiley finished first at 110. Rylee Caviness took the bracket at 125, and Hadley Noe took first at 135.
Fairfield scooped up two championships at the meet. Kensley Fligg took down the 115-pound bracket, and Samantha Lyons finished first at 170.
Mt. Pleasant finished the tournament with two second-place finishers and three third-place finishers to end up just behind Fairfield in the team standings.
Cardinal was also at the tournament, but didn’t acquire any team points.
