Vivian Dolores Dorothy, age 83, of Douds, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at her daughter?s home in Douds.??

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Keosauqua United Methodist Church.??

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Lacey-Keosauqua Park Lodge.??

Vivian was born on September 20, 1927 in Cedar Township near Stockport, Iowa to Harry and Ethel Harlan Wise. She married Bill B. Dorothy and they later divorced. Vivian had resided in Mesa, Arizona, Longmont, Colorado and Keosauqua, Iowa. She worked as a Commercial Loan Processor at Wells Fargo Bank in Phoenix, Arizona. ??

Vivian is survived by 4 children: Jean McIntosh of Douds, Robert J. (Marge) Dorothy of Puyallup, Washington, Julie Shannan of Mesa, Arizona and Bill Dorothy (Ronald Skinner) of St. Louis, Missouri, 4 grandchildren: Matthew (Janell) Dorothy, Megan (James) Dorothy Batie, Jeremy Shannan and Jodi Shannan, 7 great-grandchildren: Oscar and Azumi Johnson-Dorothy, Shamus Shannan, Tanner, Dakodah and Emma Batie and Noah Kirkendahl. She is also survived by a special sister-in-law: Laurie Dorothy and nieces and nephews: Kent (Jill) Jameson, Harriett (Del) Curtis, Joan Hodges, Bob Dorothy, Connie Steinback and Robin Gard and a special friend: Deb Kirchner.??

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter in infancy: Harriett Dorothy and 2 sisters: Meda Watson and Charline Jameson.
