Winfield-Mt. Union (9-8) 3, Hillcrest Academy (5-6) 1
Winfield-Mt. Union grabbed win number nine on the season with a 3-1 victory over Hillcrest Academy on Tuesday evening.
The Wolves and Ravens traded the first two sets. WMU won the first 25-23 and Hillcrest the second 25-23.
WMU dominated the third 25-4 and sealed it with a 25-19 win in the fourth.
Pekin (2-6) 3, Louisa-Muscatine (0-6) 0
Pekin put it to Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday night as the Panthers were victorious 25-19, 25-13 and 25-21.
Highland (6-8) 3, Columbus (2-12) 1
Highland just edged Columbus on Tuesday night in four sets.
Highland took the opening set 25-17 and Columbus the second 25-13, but the Huskies took the next two, 25-22 and 25-20.
For the Huskies, Sarah Burton finished with 11 kills and Adeline Krotz 10.
Laney Skelton finished with 21 assists and Madison Beeson ended with 17 digs.
Van Buren County (7-9) 3, New London (0-9) 1
Van Buren County won two straight set over New London on Tuesday, 25-14, 25-23, but the Tigers took the third 25-23.
The Warriors ended it with a 25-22 victory in the fourth set.
Chariton (7-7) 3, Cardinal (1-7) 2
Cardinal stole two sets away from Chariton on Tuesday night, but the Chargers just edged the Comets in the fifth.
Chariton took the match, 19-25, 25-20, 13-25 and 14-16.
Sigourney (6-4) 3, Keota (5-3) 0
Keota battled hard against its area rivals, but the Eagles came up just short in all three matches.
The Savages picked up a sweep with victories of 25-22, 25-17 an 25-14.
Kennedy Jackson led the Eagles with five kills and Kate Elam finished with four.
Leading in assists was Cassandra Swantz with eight.
Izzi Chalupa had a team-high 19 digs in the loss.
