Volleyball: Wolves win the North
Wolves take SEISC North title as postseason draws near

It was another busy night of small school volleyball on Tuesday.
Many area teams wrapped up their regular season with wins on the night, while others came up just short.
With the completion of the regular season games, teams will now be preparing for the regional rounds.
Winfield-Mt. Union 3, Wapello 0
WMU took the SEISC North Division title Tuesday night with a sweep of Wapello.
The Arrows gave the Wolves a match, but WMU proved to much in the end, taking the three set victory 25-22, 25-23 and 25-12.
Winfield-Mt. Union will open post season play against Twin Cedars in the Class 1A Region 8 first round.
Offensively, Melina Oepping led the Wolves with 10 kills. Keely Malone accumulated 26 assists on the night.
On the defensive side of things, Keetyn Townsley racked up 23 digs.
WACO 3, Highland 0
WACO and Highland wrapped the regular season on Tuesday night against one another.
The Warriors took the win over the Huskies in three sets, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-14.
Ellah Kissell had a team-high 10 kills in the win. Grace Coble finished with 23 assists. Jocelyn Fulton had 15 digs in the win.
WACO will open Class 1A Region 8 play against Melcher-Dallas on Monday. Highland will take on Tri-County to open Class 1A Region 7.
New London 3, Danville 0
New London had no problem in its regular season finale against Danville.
The Tigers took the first set 25-14 and never looked back on the way to wins of 25-12 and 25-10.
Natalie Burden led the Tigers in the kills department with 15. Elly Manning finished with 33 assists.
Emma Nye ended the win with 23 digs.
The Tigers will open Class 1A Region 7 play against Hillcrest Academy on Monday.
Columbus 3, Pekin 2
Columbus and Pekin went the distance Tuesday night in a SEISC clash.
The Wildcats took the first two sets 25-20, 25-13, but the Panthers clawed back into with two straight themselves 25-16 and 25-13 to set up a fifth for the win.
Columbus edged Pekin in the final 15-13.
Victoria Howell paced Columbus with nine kills. Sara Vela racked up 21 assists. Isabelle Lagunas finished with 13 digs.
Hillcrest Academy 3, Louisa-Muscatine 2
The Raven and Falcons needed five sets to determine a winner on Tuesday.
It was a back and forth affair between the two. The Ravens took the first set 25-13, lost the second 25-20, won the third 25-13 and lost the fourth 25-14.
In the fifth and final set of the night, Hillcrest Academy stood strong for a 15-9 match winner.
Malia Yoder finished with a team-high 17 kills in the win. Claire Withrow tallied 29 assists. Yoder also had 14 digs as well.
Hillcrest will take on New London in the first round of the Class 1A Region 7 bracket.
Davis County 3, Cardinal 0
Cardinal couldn’t keep up with Davis County in the regular season finale.
The Comets fell 25-13, 25-6 and 25-12.
Brenna Guiter led Cardinal with seven kills. Emily Ward tallied six assists. Brinlee Ostrander finished with nine digs.
Cardinal will open Class 2A Region 8 play against Van Buren County on Monday.
