W-MU baseball team swept by Mediapolis

MEDIAPOLIS - The Winfield-Mt. Union baseball team had their hands full on Tuesday night. They played at Mediapolis against a Bulldog team that has lost just one game all season.

The Wolves fell in both games at Mepo, falling 17-1 in the first game and 14-2 in the second.

Mediapolis won the first game in four innings. They scored three runs in the first, 11 in the second and three more in the third. W-MU did score one in the fourth before the Bulldogs picked up their final out.

The Bulldogs won game two in six innings. Mediapolis led 2-0 in the first inning and 4-1 in the second. W-MU scored a run in the third, but Mediapolis scored six runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.

The Wolves are now 0-9 on the season. They'll look for their first win of the year at home tonight (Thursday) when they host Pekin in a SEISC North Division game.
